Sediment Pond Dredging at Kawartha Golf Club – Peterborough, Ontario

Sediment Pond Dredging at Kawartha Golf Club

Peterborough, Ontario

Landcor Excavating completed a sediment pond dredging project at Kawartha Golf Club in Peterborough, Ontario.

The two sediment ponds are designed to catch silt and debris before water flows into the course’s main irrigation pond. Over time, buildup had reduced their capacity and needed to be removed to keep the system functioning properly.

Scope of Work

Our crew:

  • Removed accumulated sediment and organic material

  • Restored proper depth and grading

  • Re-established effective sediment capture before the irrigation pond

  • Hauled and repurposed the dredged material to build a privacy berm at the 18th tee

The work was completed in December while the course was closed. Frozen ground and snow cover allowed us to minimize impact and avoid damage to surrounding fairways and turf.
